18VAC41-60-120. Continuing education requirement.
All licensed body-piercers and ear-piercers must satisfactorily complete a minimum of five hours of board-approved health education to include (i) bloodborne disease, sterilization, and aseptic techniques related to body-piercing or ear-piercing; (ii) first aid; and (iii) CPR during their licensed term. All licensed ear-piercers earlobe only must satisfactorily complete a minimum of three hours of board-approved health education to include bloodborne disease and first aid during their licensed term. Documentation of training completion must be provided at the time of renewal along with the required fee.
