BOARD OF LONG-TERM CARE ADMINISTRATORS

AGENCY SUMMARY

The Board of Long-Term Care Administrators is a licensing and regulatory board housed within the Department of Health Professions. For the statutory authority of the boards within the department, see Subtitle III (§ 54.1-2400 et seq.) of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia.

The board is authorized by Chapter 31 (§ 54.1-3100 et seq.) of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia to license nursing home administrators and administrators of facilities licensed to provide assisted living care, to prescribe standards for licensure and professional conduct, and to promulgate regulations to carry out the licensing act.
