6VAC35-170-185. Researcher noncompliance.

A. The researcher shall report noncompliance with the approved research proposal to the HRRC and the institutional review board.

B. If the HRRC determines that the research activities fail to comply with the approved proposal or violate the Code of Virginia or the Virginia Administrative Code, the department may (i) restrict or terminate further research , (ii) prohibit the researcher from presenting or publishing the research results, or (iii) bar the researcher from conducting future studies.
