CHAPTER 598
An Act to require the Department of Health to determine the
most effective means of protecting the public from cancer caused by radon.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the Department of Health shall review
consumer complaints regarding radon testing and mitigation received since 2013
and the current certification requirements for individuals performing radon
testing and mitigation and shall determine the benefits of any additional
oversight for individuals performing radon testing and mitigation. The
Department of Health shall report its findings and any recommendations to the
House Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions and the Senate Committee on
Education and Health by December 1, 2018.
