An Act to authorize the Department of Conservation and Recreation to quitclaim and release certain real property rights related to lands of the agency.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That in accordance with and as evidence of General Assembly approval pursuant to § 2.2-1151 of the Code of Virginia, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (Department) is hereby authorized to quitclaim and release its rights and any interest it may hold in a portion of real estate related to an offsite well and water system serving New River Trail State Park to Wythe County Solar Project, LLC or its successors or assigns, acquired by the Department via that certain Deed dated October 2, 1995, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Wythe County, Virginia (Clerk's Office) in Deed Book 453, Page 118 and by that certain Deed dated March 9, 2006, recorded in the Clerk's Office as Instrument Number 060002600 and by those certain Deeds dated November 8, 1995, recorded in the Clerk's Office in (i) Deed Book 457, Page 99, (ii) Deed Book 457, Page 104, and (iii) Deed Book 457, Page 110, upon terms and conditions as the Department deems proper, with the approval of the Department of General Services and the Secretary of Administration and in a form approved by the Attorney General. The purpose of this quitclaim and release is to remove the Department's rights to the well and water system on an adjacent property for the adjacent landowner to enjoy the opportunity to privately develop their land, as New River Trail State Park no longer relies on this well and water system for its water needs.
