Part III. Renewal

18VAC80-30-100. License renewal required.

A. Licenses issued under this chapter will expire 24 months from the last day of the month in which the license was issued.

B. The board will send a renewal notice to the licensee. Failure to receive this notice does not relieve the licensee of the obligation to renew. Prior to the expiration date shown on the license, each licensee desiring to renew a license must return the appropriate fee to the board as outlined in 18VAC80-30-50.

C. Any licensee who fails to renew within 30 days after the license expires must pay a late renewal fee, in addition to the renewal fee, as set out in 18VAC80-30-50.

D. The board, in its discretion and for just cause, may deny renewal of a license. Before such denial, the applicant for renewal may request that a proceeding be held in accordance with the provision of the Administrative Process Act (§ 2.2-4000 et seq. of the Code of Virginia).

Statutory Authority

§ 54.1-201 of the Code of Virginia.
