20VAC5-401-50. Termination of all telephone company network facilities in all multi-story, multi-occupancy buildings, campuses, malls, etc. that began constructi....

A. Construction shall be deemed to have begun when the telephone companies had initial contact with the architect or owners, or both.

B. The telephone company network facilities will terminate inside the building at a point of minimum penetration to the building. This location will be arranged through the building owner or architect. Normally, this location will be the same location as the termination for riser, house, or building distribution cable.

C. 1. The telephone company shall terminate its telephone network facilities at an appropriate NID installed by the telephone company.

2. The NID shall permit premises wiring to be readily connected or disconnected from the telephone company network facilities.

D. 1. The telephone company will not be responsible for the provision of telephone riser, house, or building distribution cable as a regulated service.

2. This section does not restrict the telephone company from installing riser, house, or building distribution cable under contract.
