§ 18.2-160.2. Trespassing on public transportation or emergency vehicle; penalty.

A. As used in this section:

"Emergency vehicle" means the same as that term is defined in § 46.2-818.2. "Emergency vehicle" includes any public works or public utilities vehicle.

"Public transportation service" means passenger transportation service provided by bus, rail, or other surface conveyance that provides transportation to the general public on a regular and continuing basis.

B. Any person who enters or remains upon or within a vehicle operated by a public transportation service or an emergency vehicle without the permission of, or after having been forbidden to do so by, the owner, lessee, or authorized operator is guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

C. Any person who enters or rides in a vehicle operated by a public transportation service who has been prohibited to do so pursuant to subsection F of § 18.2-57 is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
