AUCTIONEERS BOARD
AGENCY SUMMARY
The Auctioneers Board is a separate agency within the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. The director of the department acts as the board's secretary and administrative officer. The board is authorized to license individuals and firms to sell at auction in the Commonwealth based on successful completion of an approved course of study and passage of the Virginia Licensed Auctioneers Examination. Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 6.
